Campbell Receives Key Endorsements
LINCOLN – Jacob Campbell has earned some important endorsements for his campaign for south-central Lincoln’s Legislative District 29. Former Nebraska Governor Kay Orr, former Governor Dave Heineman, and Congressman Jeff Fortenberry have thrown their support behind Jacob.
“To have the guidance and encouragement of three of the finest leaders in our state is extremely encouraging. You can bet I’ll be calling them for their policy experience and historical knowledge of Nebraska government.”
In addition to these key endorsements, Jacob is announcing endorsements from the following: State Treasurer John Murante, County Commissioner Roma Amundson, Lincoln City Council member Roy Christensen, Public Service Commissioner Dan Watermeier, former Nebraska Republican Party Chair Mark Fahleson, former Lincoln City Council member Cyndi Lamm, former City Council member Trent Fellers, and the Nebraska Federation of Young Republicans.
Campbell previously announced the endorsement of three current state senators; Suzanne Geist, Mike Hilgers, and Ben Hansen.
Senator Suzanne Geist, who represents Legislative District 25 including portions of east Lincoln and the city of Waverly and is vice-chair of the Legislature’s Transportation & Telecommunications Committee, endorsed Campbell with the following statement, “Jacob Campbell has the energy and drive to be a tireless representative for Lincoln families and small business in the Legislature. He’ll work to protect vulnerable Nebraskans including children, seniors, the mentally ill and developmentally disabled while supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs that help fuel Nebraska’s economy.”
Senator Mike Hilgers, who represents Legislative District 21 including northwest Lincoln as well as northwest Lancaster County and serves as chair of the Legislature’s Executive Board, endorsed Campbell saying, “Lincoln needs more strong leaders who will work tirelessly to help grow our state through innovation, reducing regulation, lowering taxes and investing in our people. Jacob Campbell will do just that and I look forward to working with Jacob in the Legislature to represent Lincoln together and build a better future for Nebraska.”
Senator Ben Hansen, who represents Legislative District 16 including Washington, Burt and Cuming counties, endorsed Campbell with the following statement, “Jacob has gained valuable experience working in the Legislature previously for former Senator Lydia Brasch and more recently in my office. His character and work ethic and ability to break down complex issues and consider how they impact the lives of Nebraskans will make him an effective member of the Legislature.”
